About

Innocent Bystander x Pitchblack Playblack

Less scrolling. More listening. Lights off.

We’re teaming up with Pitchblack Playback for a listening session with a difference. Take a seat, get comfortable and experience a specially curated, 60-minute 'Summer Psychedelia' psych-rock mixtape in complete darkness, on a premium sound system.

No screens. No distractions. No mate asking you to skip this one.

Just you, the music and a glass of Innocent Bystander.

So, what’s Pitchblack Playback?

Think cinema for your ears.

Born in London, with sold-out sessions in Berlin, New York, Mexico City and beyond, Pitchblack Playback gives music your undivided attention. With the lights out and everyday distractions put aside, you can settle in and hear the details that usually pass you by.

The 'Summer Psychedelia' Mixtape, curated by Sydney DJ and producer Jerk Boy, takes you on a sonic trip through Australia’s iconic psych-rock sound. A little unexpected? That’s our kind of night.

The lights come on. The night carries on.

After the session, stick around for a laid-back afterparty with a live DJ, drinks and nibbles. Compare notes, catch up with your people or meet a few new ones.

Innocent Bystander is best paired with people, after all.

Your $25 ticket includes

• Admission to the 60-minute listening session
• Entry to the DJ afterparty
• Two complimentary glasses of Innocent Bystander wine

*Wine will be available from the bar before the session, and you can take your glass into the theatre.
