NICKY BOMBA’S BUSTAMENTO — LIVE@ THE GRAND ROOM
FRIDAY 27 NOVEMBER 2026
Get ready for a globe-trotting musical adventure as Nicky Bomba’s Bustamento takes over LIVE@ The Grand Room for a night bursting with rhythm, colour, musicianship and infectious energy.
Led by acclaimed musician, drummer and charismatic frontman Nicky Bomba, Bustamento takes its foundations in reggae, ska, calypso and Caribbean music and sends them travelling around the world.
Think Jamaican reggae and Trinidadian calypso colliding with New Orleans grooves, Motown soul, African horns, Pacific rhythms, Latin flavours and Mediterranean influences — all delivered with Bustamento’s unmistakable sense of fun.
This is a band built around musical adventure.
The chemistry runs deep. Bustamento brings together musicians who have shared stages and musical journeys with Nicky across his celebrated projects, including Bomba and the Melbourne Ska Orchestra, creating a live band that is incredibly tight, spontaneous and always ready to take the music somewhere unexpected.
At the centre of it all is Nicky Bomba — one of Australia's great musical adventurers — bringing his humour, musicianship and irrepressible personality to a show designed to make you smile, move and dance.
Inside the spectacular surrounds of The Grand Room, expect a Friday night that travels across continents without ever leaving South Yarra.
Come for dinner. Stay for the music. Get up and dance.
