Witness one of the world’s greatest violinists.
Subramaniam has redefined the violin on the world stage. A child prodigy, he performed his first concert at age six and won the All-India Radio national competition, receiving the best violinist prize from President Dr. S. Radhakrishnan.
Over a career spanning more than six decades, he has mastered Carnatic and Western classical traditions, pioneered global fusion in the 1970s, and produced over 200 recordings across genres. From orchestral works with the New York Philharmonic and the London Symphony Orchestra to film scores such as Salaam Bombay and Mississippi Masala, his insatiable musical curiosity has led to historic collaborations with George Harrison, Stevie Wonder, Yehudi Menuhin, Herbie Hancock, and many more.
