Step into a world of old-world glamour, live jazz and mystery at Masquerade, an unforgettable evening of music and entertainment in the heart of Sydney.
On Saturday 31 October 2026, FUNKD, an 18-piece big band made up of talented musicians from the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, invites you to experience a spectacular night of live big band music, food, drinks, competitions and intrigue at Castlereagh’s Cellos Room.
Whether you are a jazz enthusiast, a lover of live music, or simply looking for something different to do in Sydney this Halloween weekend, Masquerade promises an evening filled with atmosphere, entertainment and the unmistakable sound of a full big band.
An Evening of Live Big Band Music
The evening begins at 6:30 pm, with guests invited to enjoy food, drinks and a live jazz combo in an intimate, atmospheric setting. Take the opportunity to catch up with friends, meet fellow music lovers and soak up the sophisticated ambience before the main performance.
At 7:30 pm, FUNKD’s full 18-piece big band takes the stage. Featuring the rich sounds of saxophones, trumpets, trombones and a driving rhythm section, the performance celebrates the energy, colour and excitement of big band music.
The repertoire brings together original music and classic big band charts, creating a performance that honours the tradition of jazz while showcasing the talent and creativity of a new generation of musicians.
