A Seniors Week lunch for the local community, featuring “Music as Medicine - Playlists for Life.”
Event details
Music shapes our lives. It influences memory, emotions, learning and identity at all stages of our lives. A “personal playlist” is a collection of meaningful songs linked to your life stories and cultural background/s. Personal playlists enhance personal story telling and communication across generations and cultures.
In this workshop, we will explore how a playlist of personally significant music has so many positive benefits for our brains, bodies and wellbeing.
The workshop will be practical, engaging, supportive and fun.
The event includes a light lunch. Bookings are essential.
Supported by Woodlupine Family Centre, City of Kalamunda, Advocare, the Department of Communities and Lotterywest.
