Come down to Fremantle Library for our annual music event, nestled between the stacks.
This year’s event will feature… you! Learn a song with Penny Lane’s Comfy Choir and hear your voice among many. No experience or preparation necessary, just a willingness to join in and give it a go.
The event will include vocal warm ups and vocal health exercises, we will learn a song together, play with harmonies and end with a big sing along. Percussion instruments will be available for extra accompaniment.
Stay for a drink and a nibble afterwards to soak up the energy amongst the books.
Penny Lane’s Comfy Choir is perfect for people all ages and abilities who are looking for social connection, wholesome fun and a shared love of song. Led by Penny Lane’s senior vocal coach, Hannah Owens.
They meet every Thursday evening at 6.30pm at Penny Lane’s Music Workshop, 48 Knutsford St, Freo for a casual, comfy choir session.
The beating heart of Fremantle’s music scene, Penny Lane’s is a vibrant community music school and creative hub in the heart of Fremantle. Founded by acclaimed Fremantle musician Richard Lane of The Stems and now led by Cathy and their daughter Penny Lane, the school has been nurturing aspiring musicians as they learn, grow and play together for the last 17 years.
From babies taking their first musical steps through Baba Lala Musical Playtime, to private lessons, bands, choirs and community performances, Penny Lane’s offers a welcoming pathway from babies to bands.
